On Sunday 1st June Larne Golf Club’s Pierce Purcell team played Burnfield House at Cairndhu in the first round of the matchplay stages. Unfortunately a combination of strong play by their opponents and some big occasion nerves meant the Larne side came out second best on the day.
Nevertheless it was a great achievement to get to this stage and credit to the team, coaches and everyone who helped on
the way.

Larne Golf Club has a magnificent setting on the Peninsula of Islandmagee with glorious panoramic views of the Antrim Coast and, across the Irish Sea to the West Coast of Scotland.
Our 9 hole / 18 tee course offers a fine challenge for golfers of all standards and a warm welcome awaits in the clubhouse when the round is finished.
